Caleb Lewis

Caleb Lewis is a conductor and baritone who has worked throughout the United States as a soloist, chorister, and educator. Most recently, he held the position of Director of Choirs at the University of California Davis, during which time he worked as a regular regional soloist, chorister, and clinician with such ensembles as the American Bach Soloists, the San Francisco Choral Artists, and the San Francisco Bach Choir. Caleb holds a Doctor of Music degree in choral conducting from Indiana University’s Jacobs School of Music, as well as degrees in choral music from Emory University in Atlanta and Furman University in Greenville, South Carolina. He is now a seminarian at St. Tikhon’s Orthodox Theological Seminary in South Canaan, Pennsylvania, where he is privileged to work regularly with Benedict Sheehan, singing with the Saint Tikhon Choir and Artefact Ensemble. Caleb enjoys reaching across cultural and linguistic barriers. He has frequently worked in Latin America as a music leader and Spanish interpreter and has served as choir director at Spanish-speaking churches in the United States.
